Your entrance into the underwater world! Start a new adventure and learn to SCUBA DIVE!
Becoming an SSI Open Water Diver is the best way to start your scuba adventure due to worldwide recognition! This program is designed to provide comprehensive training to those who wish to become SCUBA divers.
We make sure you are truly comfortable under water with the skills and equipment you will use. In general, an Open Water Diver course consists of 3 parts: Theory, Pool Training and Open Water Sessions
The SSI training reading materials and videos are designed so that you can learn the theory of diving easily with us in our class room. After each chapter we will talk about the content and answer your questions. The theory lessons will be on 3 days, each of 2 hours.
For your pool and open water training your instructor will choose the scuba equipment which will fit you so you will become comfortable in your “second skin”. In the pool you will learn, how to behave under water, how to use the equipment and how to communicate underwater with each other.
You will complete at least 4 open water dives and have the chance to experience everything you learned in the pool. After successful completion of your open water training dives you will become a Certified Diver. The SSI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide so your diving experiences will be limitless.
Prerequistes: medical statement, must be minimum 15 years of age with a documented parent or legal guardian authorization, or minimum 12 years of age for junior diver qualification, or minimum 18 years of age without parent or guardian approval.
With just a little more training, you can go even further - imagine diving in underwater shipwrecks, with big fish, make deep dives, night dives or becoming an underwater photographer! Check out all of the exciting Specialty Programs you can get involved in. It's your chance to move to the next level in your diving adventures.
